• Multi-stage pumps are used in applications requiring high head.
• The stages are connected in series and the output of one stage is mounted as the input of the other stage.
• Total delivery head is the sum of the delivery head provided by each stage.
• The reason for preference is that the discharge head is very high compared to the flow rate.
• Balancing holes in the impellers ensure that axial loads are minimized and are dynamically balanced.
• The suction flange is on the coupling side and on the right side. And the discharge flange is on the other side and upwards. (Unless otherwise requested)
• Soft packing is used as sealing element.
• Cylindrical roller bearings that are resistant to high temperatures and can work under harsh conditions are used at both ends of the pump.
• Since there is no step on the shafts, it provides advantage in dismountability.
